I cant remember shows by season like you guys can. I do remember not liking the Wire season 2 all that much though.

Season 2 is hard to digest on 1st viewing. It's much better a 2nd time through.

Yeah, I don't think about TV shows in terms of seasons, because, usually, I find that there are great episodes and meh ones in pretty much every season of a show. Unless it's recent Family Guy seasons... those are all meh to >meh.

The Wire and Six Feet Under seasons all run together to me because I didn't watch them during their initial runs, but every season of both of those were really good.
I enjoyed every season of Breaking Bad as well. Sons of Anarchy seasons have been the same (quality wise). There's normally a ridiculously good episode followed by tires spinning for a few episodes, then another ridiculously good episode. The exception was Season 3 which was just average to me, however the payoff of Season 3's finale put it up there with the other seasons.

The top 5 seasons of tv are the 5 seasons of the wire. The order of them is where you have some flexibility. I'd go:
