Just seen commercials for new Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sly Stallone movies. Did I somehow teleport back to the 80s?

They both look like they will be turrible movies, honestly.. lol

I'm sure if they aired in the late 80s and 90s, they would be considered great movies.

But anyway, just ate a corn beef sub. That thing was awesome. My favorite sandwich maker girl was there too. She is about a size zero, cute and always makes sure you have a good time. Nothing like friendly customer service that make it worth while standing there waiting for you food to be made.

Other errands was washing the car, it was filthy from all that salt and getting some gas. Today was a good day.

Just because Chase pointed it out and I read this later in the night, I have to point out that GMSS almost went full Musberger on this post.

When the professor passed out the syllabus and attendance was part of the grade, the anger and resentmet in the air was tangible.

I seriously thought I was the only one. I would immediately calculate how I'd do if I got at least a B on everything.

Yeah, well, at Grambling the attendance is important for every class (except math, because you can literally do your work online at home then take the final and ace it, which is what I did last semester). Some classes it counts for as high as 20%. It's warranted though because our graduation percent is 7. 7% graduate within 4 years. 26% graduate in 6.

Also, you HAVE to show up for at least 3 weeks straight for classes or else you don't get your refund.

Well, just looked at flight costs to our honeymoon spot.

Flight from here to wedding spot to honeymoon spot and back for me was almost 3K and I got them in September which is 9 months in advance. So hopefully that makes you feel better.

I think they both looks awesome, lol. Love the 80s throwback, mindless action movies. Sometimes I just want to watch a movie, not have to think about it.

I watched The Expendables the other night. Perfect mix of 80's cheese and mindless action. 90 minutes well spent.

I've only seen the trailer for the Arnie movie and it looks to be pretty mindless but action packed. Although I had heard this was supposed to be more of a strong dramatic role for him. Maybe I misheard.

I haven't seen the ad for the new Stallone movie though.

I had a class recently where attendance/participation was 40% of the overall grade. And it wasn't like a normal participation grade where it's essentially free points, he would sit there and make a tally mark on a sheet of paper next to your name every time you said something meaningful towards the topic at hand.

It was unpleasant.
