    A sno cone then. I've lived in WI, South Dakota, DC and CA and haven't ever heard of it. Must be a southern thing.

        whoa whoa whoa, timeout...It's my understanding that sno cones are hard and snow balls are more liquid-y or mushy, a lot like an ICEE

                Maybe that brand. Any type of shaved ice with flavored juice is known as either a snow cone or just shaved ice.

                Interesting. My fiance had no idea what it was either when I asked her.
