Posting on OS for the first time in a long time. Looking back at my old posts was embarrassing. Needless to say, I've grown up a lot. Feels good to be back.

Re: Off Topic 2013
You guys have always been extremely careful, law abiding citizens that have never done anything wreckless in the heat of the moment ? If so, good for you, but not everyone is.
I've done 145 in a 65 before. (interstate).
Is it right ? No
Was it dumb ? Sure
Was it fun ? Oh yeah.
Of course dude deserves any punishment he gets, but *** **** guys..
I guess I just relate because I know how stupid i could be at a younger age.Last edited by AUChase; 05-17-2013, 11:57 PM.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
Yeah I agree with Chase on this one. I mean going 100+ mph on a public road is ridiculously stupid, and deserves punishment and what not, but we have all been there.
I would bet that pretty much everyone of you guys bashing him has put the pedal to the floor to see how fast your car would go at least once or twice before.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
No, because we have multiple drag strips here that we can go to if we ever feel the need to top out. This must be one of those "Louisiana Things" but I don't see why every major city has someplace like that. And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

Re: Off Topic 2013
Yeah, that's nowhere near a Louisiana thing.
My family has built and drag raced competitively since before I was born. I can name several tracks in this state without much effort.
That doesn't mean people still don't do stupid **** nor does it make it right. I just know myself and a lot of other people have done something ridiculously stupid before too.
I street raced when I was in highschool. I also went to local tracks too.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
And I am agreeing that is idiotic to do. I'm just saying cut the guy some slack, he knows by this point that he messed up big time, what he did was not safe, and I will venture to guess that he probably won't do it again.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
Worst I've done is 80 in a 55. Dumbest thing I've done is 75 on gravel. I wouldn't recommend it. That was when I first got my license. Now the highest I'll do is 10 over on the interstate (usually 65) and 5 over on regular roads.MLB: Minnesota Twins

My friend did 105 on the highway all the way home from a baseball game we went to and turned an hour drive into a 25 minute drive. I've never been so scared in my life.Comment
