Just started Arkham City.

Sometimes it pays to be behind everyone else with gaming. $20.00 is a lot better than the $60.00 I would have paid for it new.

I get the occasional game on release, but this is typically how I game. There are all sorts of games out there I can buy dirt cheap.

I'll probably get The Last of Us brand new. I doubt I'll be able to resist.

The irony of it all is people bitch and moan about lack of parity in all sports, then when two small market or non-traditional teams get into the championship, no one watches or cares.

This is so true. Honestly one of my favorite baseball post seasons was when the Rays made their run in the 2008 post season.

In other news, it's basically been a Murphy's law week for Pittsburgh sports. Pens have pretty much fallen apart, Pirates have lost 5 of 6 along with 2 starting pitchers, Mike Adams got stabbed, and I guess you could throw in Ben Roethlisberger having his knee scoped.

I am in the same boat as you. I can't afford buying games brand new. There are a couple of exceptions of course, but I don't mind because I can get a great discount later on and catch up on things I've missed.
