There really isn't some blue/white divide in existence at OS. If you cannot understand that the ****ty, mostly newb and devoid of substance posters here (which more often than not happen to be non-supporters) are what's actually being half-heartedly criticized, then I don't know what to tell you.

Dammit Menomonie, don't just hit the tornado sirens because there's a moderately strong storm heading our way. Save it for a storm that could actually form a tornado. Wake me up from a sound sleep for pretty much nothing.

At least they did their job and woke half the town up, even if it was for only for some moderately strong wind.

There really isn't some blue/white divide in existence at OS. If you cannot understand that the ****ty, mostly newb and devoid of substance posters here (which more often than not happen to be non-supporters) are what's actually being half-heartedly criticized, then I don't know what to tell you.

Aren't you aware of the thread in Steve's Forum requesting a single button that blocks all NON supporters? The same thread requesting a return to separate forums based on supporter status?

Seems sort of serious to me.

Because it's become more of a chore to read through any of the game forums than to actually participate in the discussions that are going on.

It's not like people are saying "I gave 20+ bucks, I'm better than you so kiss my feet you peasants." It just so happens that there are a smaller number of dumb posts coming from those donators for a plethora of reasons. Either they've been around a long time and see this as their home on the internet or what have you.

That's not to say there still aren't plenty of dumb blue users but the percentage is much lower.

I know plenty of people here that used to visit the separate game and sports forums (myself included) but don't anymore due to how much of a hassle it is to even expect to read something halfway decent in there anymore.

Heck the only person on OS that I've ever played my MMOs with has a white name and I'd never think of skipping his posts.

If you aren't contributing to the problem and don't want to donate, by all means keep enjoying the forum. People already recognize that. If you feel like you have to justify and defend yourself or you'll take your ball and go home well... I don't know what to tell you.

It's not as simple as defending myself and my posts. I got no worries there.

There are a plethora of rules on this site to govern behaviour and involvement. If your saying they are not being enforced then the complaints would be valid but if you are saying the rules are being followed but the non supporters opinions are LESS valid. And because of that folks want to segregate/Eliminate them...then yeah I take umbrage.

Because the line being drawn isn't being suggested by any other merit than a financial decision. What would be next....another level of higher donations to seperate blues who's opinions aren't popular from the "real" posters?

Most forums have hidden subforums for donators/supporters. It's actually a great feature.

I've paid my $20 to have my posts mean more and obviously carry more weight.

When I see names of color, I tend to stop what I'm doing and say, "Wow, this is a guy whose post will carry a lot weight and potentially change my day".

I bet if someone was really talented with coding, they could come up with a Firefox extension/addon that displays only posts from supporters and mods. Could have the code just look for the hex color value in the username class.
