I passed first try. They made us parallel park (spot was huge) and then drive around the block. It was easy as hell.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
My driving test was a joke. I lived in a small town so it was a drive through the park and around the block. All you covered was different speeds (25, 35, 45), turning at a stop sign, turning at a light, and I don't think there was a single left turn. Got much more out of driving with my dad on long trips. Driving early on with a learner's permit in Houston guaranteed I would pass any reasonable test. Parallel parking is something I'm still not all that great at even with a small car. I can never judge just how much space I might actually have so I'll just drive a block or two farther to get an easier spot.Comment

I passed it first time as well. Did my test in a really tiny town and all I had to do was drive around the block a couple of times.MLB: Minnesota Twins

I can parallel park and park in between tight spaces. But when it's nothing but parking lot. I always screw that up. I'm always too tight to the line or over it.

Drivers Ed was a joke of a class, football coach ran the class so he let work out if it wasn't my turn to drive.
I failed the test the first time though because I didn't use my signals for parking at the end of the test. The test was a joke though overall as didnt have to do any parallel parking or even get on to the road(they had a little area behind the grocery store)Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

My drivers Ed teacher was about 70, and he seriously fell asleep just about every time we drove. We got lost quite a few times, the most interesting time being around Indianapolis.
The class was a joke.
As for my actual driving test, I drove around the block and got railroaded. During that long awkward silence of sitting there at the train, the lady gets a phone call that was apparently about a family emergency or something. She ended up giving me my license and leaving work right after.
I had quite the experience.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
The written test was cake. There is hardly a reason to study for it. I took my car exam in a notoriously hard spot in Brooklyn. I pretty much passed until the last left turn right before the finish. Im pretty sure the lady could have failed me for it, as she gave me a lecture on why I did the wrong thing, but she probably didnt want to see me again as she had like 50 more exams lined up down the street. She handed me the license voucher and said your card would be in the mail soon. I was happy and got the **** outta there before she changed her mind lol.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
I failed my driver's test 3 times before finally passing. First time was BS. Eight points marked off and I was auto-failed for doing 28 in a 25. Second time was even more BS as the tester was this 70 year old dude who never looked up from his clipboard except for once to randomly grab my steering wheel and jerk it to the left on an empty street. He failed me for damn near everything. Everyone else I know who had him said he was the same way for them too. Third time I went to a different DMV and was auto-failed for "rolling a stop sign," which was the only thing I did wrong. They let me come back the next day and wait to see if any openings popped up due to people not showing or not being able to take the test. Waited 2 hours to take the test and passed with little effort.Comment

Passed my written exam and driving test on both tries.
For my driving test, I had this really, really shrewd woman who just seemed like she could never have fun. I had to drive through a small town, show that I can work the e-brake, and that was it. But yet, she said I "barely passed," even though I did nothing wrong.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus
