Yesterday I spent most of the day with my girlfriend; it was our one month anniversary. Happiest month of my life. I had been waiting for two weeks, but yesterday I finally told her I love her. I was so nervous, I thought she wouldn't say anything, which would make an uncomfortable silence. Or, I thought she'd be one of the people that says "thank you." Yet, she said it back, and I'm even happier.

That's funny. High school relationships are the ones that have all the drama. Maybe it's different for everyone else but in the 3+ years we've been together my fiance and I haven't ever fought about anything. Disagreements, perhaps but never a fight - and that's all I ever see coming out of HS relationships.

I guess what I meant as far as drama free was no worries about finances, kids, careers, etc.... Stuff that adults have to think about...

My wife and I fight a lot but we've always fought a lot. I know my parents fought for their first 5 years.

It's hardest for my wife because I deploy so often she gets used to being home alone then I come home and she gets used to me being home then I leave again. Only 2 more years though.

Soccer practice
Basketball practice
Cheer leading practice
Car notes
Bills
Numerous hours trying to stay awake during a chick flick
Weird days when she wants to eat healthier so instead of the steak you get a bunch of lettuce
Your side of the bed is non existent, you get in where you fit in
Lovey dovey text messages that she expects you to answer while the game is on....

Yeah, the simple days. Enjoy them my friend.
