The only good part about not going to college was not having to share those bathrooms. Sharing with family members is/was bad enough.

Whenever I was a Freshman in 2008, we never had any issues with the way the bathrooms worked. 8 showers, 10 sinks, 4 stalls and 4 urinals on each hall.. Never really had that big of an issue with getting in and getting out.--

What is with everyone having housekeepers? I bet y'all pay out the *** for tuition for it. I mean, it can't be that hard to take out your own trash and clean your own bathroom... then again, might be pretty smart just to take all of your cash and make sure it gets done because I know there were people in my dorm that didn't clean the entire year.Comment

KU doesn't have housekeepers in the dorms, that I'm aware of anyway. There are people who come clean all the common areas, but not the individual dorms.
Don't know what you guys pay, but for reference, it's about $4,100 for a traditional dorm without a bathroom and $5,500 with a bathroom for the year. Both two person one-room dorms.Comment

I had them in dorms for a couple years and that was over 10 years ago. It was a smaller school in Wilkes Barre, PA that was run by the same brotherhood that runs Notre Dame.
They weren't really there to clean though, they were mainly there to take out the trash and spray some stuff to make the room smell nicer.
They did very little cleaning and I don't ever remember getting a mint left on the pillow.Comment
