I just want to know, who the hell decides what music plays at Wal-Mart and other stores?

I honestly wish they could put me in charge of making a Wal-Mart playlist, mainly for my own sanity.

Store manager decides. Most of the stores out here play nothing but country music, a few play nothing but what is on Kiss FM and then the rest plays nothing but seasonal music.

GMSS is right.

Choices are usually limited, but most stores have some off the wall satellite radio and you have a few stations to decide between.

They do a good job with our selection at work.

Plenty of good stations to choose from.

We had to turn it off of Concrete Beats a few days ago because it dropped a word Riley Cooper is familar with. Everyone in here looked up from their desk at once and made eye contact and then looked at the customers.. lol.

Going to miss our Fantasy league at work this year. I just renewed the league and turned over the commish to someone else here.

We got together at the Tilted Kilt and did a live draft with each other last year. Good times.

The music at the grocery store I used to work at was awful. Especially the Christmas music. It was like the same 15 songs over and over and over and over again.

And I don't mean a bunch of different versions of 15 Christmas songs. I mean THE SAME 15 songs.

At least you got 15. Last year every time I went to Kmart, I heard the same 4 songs over and over while shopping.

Haha, I heard some cool versions when I worked overnight stock at Christmas Tree Shops. I think it's an north east coast region store.

The retail store I work in now has a pretty sweet radio. I work the stockroom so I can play my own tunes, but sometimes when I go out on the floor I catch myself nodding along to what's playing. They had Lady Gaga going recently, it threw me off. Ro ma ro ma ma

I'm a little peeved right now. I just found out indirectly that the intern in my dept will be traveling to one of our other office locations in Atlanta in a couple weeks. This pisses me off because 1) I don't know what the purpose of this trip is or what project she'll be involved in, and 2) I feel that since I'm a permanent full time employee who's been here a year and a half I should get first shot at something like this.

Tomorrow I'll be bringing this up with my manager. But I have a feeling that this was not her call but rather my dept VP's, since my manager is new and has only been here 3 weeks.
