Holmes County coroner Dexter Howard said it’s possible that Williams’ pacemaker shut down and then started up again.

“It was a miraculous moment,” said Howard, who is an elected official and not a medical doctor. “Never in my life have I seen anything like it.”

That part certainly explains a lot. I don't know what if any training he's had, but you'd think if a coroner wasn't already an M.D. that he'd at least be required to have some level of training in checking vital signs to determine if death has occurred. Then again, I was also under the impression that all coroners were, by definition, M.D.'s trained in pathology.

I dont want to sound judgmental, but she looks like a entitled bitch.

Stories like this make me so angry. She made a choice to move out when she was 18 because she no longer wanted to listen to her parents rules. Thats fine. But to sue your parents for not paying for PRIVATE HIGH SCHOOL and College is mind numbing.

This line killed me, "In court papers, Rachel Canning alleged her parents abandoned her when she turned 18 and have now refused to pay for her to go to college - even though she has received acceptance letters from several universities."

Apparently, Up-skirt Pictures Are Legal in Massachusetts

In discussing Massachusetts' peeping Toms law, the court writes that the statute:

"Does not penalize the secret photographing of partial nudity, but of 'a person who is ... partially nude' (emphasis added). 'Is' denotes a state of a person's being, not a visual image of the person. ... In sum, we interpret the phrase, 'a person who is ... partially nude' in the same way that the defendant does, namely, to mean a person who is partially clothed but who has one or more of the private parts of body exposed in plain view at the time that the putative defendant secretly photographs her.
"A female passenger on a MBTA trolley who is wearing a skirt, dress, or the like covering these parts of her body is not a person who is 'partially nude,' no matter what is or is not underneath the skirt by way of underwear or other clothing."
