A weird question about home entrances

We always used the side door. My house was on the corner of a side street and the driveway, walkway, etc were located on the side street and led to the side door into the kitchen. The only time we ever used (or really even opened for that matter) the front door was when it was nice out during the summer or if we moved furniture in or out.

Re: A weird question about home entrances
Must not be a whole lot of people here with garages. If I drive, I'm in and out through the garage.Comment

Always used the front door. We had a sliding glass back door and a regular back door, but it wouldn't make sense to go out the back when cars and everything else is closest to front door. Also, no path around the house.
When I was living at my girls parents, they always used the back door. It was a little bit of a longer walk to the street, but there was a path and a carport.
I think a lot of people use their back door because it's "hidden." So they can keep it unlocked. I dunno, if I was a burglar, I wouldn't be strolling in through anyone's front door anyway so that doesn't really make sense...NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

detached garage in the backyard ... thus, i enter through the back of the house. however, there is street parking, so visitors will park there and come through the front.Individuality: Always remember that you are unique. Just like everybody else.

Re: A weird question about home entrances
I go in through the backdoor because my school bus drops me of in the back so it is just easier to walk in the back door.Check out my Baseball Rumors Blog http://baseballrumors101.blogspot.com/Comment

Always used the front door growing up, and live in a townhome now so unless you want to walk around the back of 6 other units then you have to use the front door.
Growing up, although our garage is/was connected to the house, never used the garage door because it was and still is my dad's card collection room.Last edited by JBH3; 02-05-2013, 01:42 AM.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: A weird question about home entrances
Growing up the house had a detached garage, so we'd park there and go in the back door.
The condo my parents had when I was in HS we'd always go in through the garage, the front door was only used by guests mostly.
In the house we bought now we go in through the garage (both of us park there). I only use the front door when checking for packages or if we have guests...Otherwise I use the garage or a side door off of garage (that's where the garbage cans go).Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

A weird question about home entrances
The house I live in now I go in the door by the car port.
I have 3 entrances to my house
1 from my bedroom
1 to my kitchen (car port)
1 for my front door which is in my back yard.
My house is really strange so that probably didn't make any sense.MLB: Texas Rangers

My house is weird, it's entrances are both on the same side of the house, onr is just closer to the road than the other, so that is what we consider our front door. So I guess I use our back door, although both are technically side doors. Also my garage is separate from our house. And we don't keep any cars in our garage, just 2 four wheelers, a dirt bike, and a lawn mower.Comment
