Playing sports with plantar fasciitis
I play basketball and this plantar fasciitis has been killing me. I've been dealing with it for a while now, but it just gets so bad sometimes that I can hardly walk afterwards.

Re: Playing sports with plantar fasciitis
Must be what I have. I've had this "heel" injury for three years. Can't play baseball with it. Can't even have surgery because they don't even truly know what it is.
Good luck man. If it helps, I have this:

I use it for an hour after any practice of any sort, and ice for twenty minutes after. It feels better than pain at least.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60 -
Re: Playing sports with plantar fasciitis
I had this in college and it absolutely killed. I thought it was a bone bruise on my heel or something...turned out to be PF. I could barely walk it hurt so bad.
Our training department would do ice-ultrasound-ice bath. It eventually went away for me.
I wish you a speedy recovery! PF is no joke!SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

Re: Playing sports with plantar fasciitis
I'm still not sure if this is what I might have right now. It's like a swelling between the ball of my right foot and my heel, right underneath the arch. Not really that painful most times, even during activities like running, but on occasion can be somewhat irritating. The Signature of New YorkComment

Re: Playing sports with plantar fasciitis
OP might want to hop off the court for a little bit because it's not going to get any better if you keep playing with it. And I'm assuming you don't half *** it when you're on the court and if that's the case then yeah, take some time off dude.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Playing sports with plantar fasciitis
Firstly, I'm not sure how you know that your plants are fascist. Second, I don't really see how that would effect your performance in sports.
SpoilerNow that I got that horrible joke out of the way, everyone is right. Stay off it other than basic walking and stuff like that, and ice it when you get the opportunity.Boston Red Sox

Re: Playing sports with plantar fasciitis
I'm not a doctor or a PT, but when I was playing little league, I had a terrible pain with my heels after playing a game. They would kill me until the next morning when the pain subsided.
My mom is a PTA and she told me to apply pressure to a certain point right above my heel. I'm not trying to endorse backwoods medicine or home remedies, but I never had pain in my heels again. Just sharing a personal experience.Comment

Re: Playing sports with plantar fasciitis
You gotta stretch man. I had it both of my feet last year and it got so bad I couldn't walk for 2 weeks. It was hell for months but it went away when i started yoga.
Yoga completely has healed me from it. I had pain in my feet, hip and back for over a decade. Also I got better at balling too with the flexibility and balance that has come from yoga. There's a reason Lebron does yoga regularly and you notice how rarely he gets injured.Comment
