    Re: Uncommon Opinions

I've seen it all with Auburn over the years

    6-3
    27-17
    65-43

The 6-3 win was boring as ****, because it wasn't so much about good defense as it was no offense. The 65-43 was about lack of defense. The 27-17 game featured good offense and great defense. I just like getting the best of both worlds, rather than a lack of offense or lack of defense.

I'm not one of these people that found that LSU-BAMA game a few years ago interesting at all. If you play against the best defenses every week, you should still be able to score on them too.

I guess I'm just not the typical SEC fan or something.

Well, the first problem there is someone being a Browns or a Jets fan.

I never actually felt that game portrayed a Defense > Offense perspective. I actually feel like that game is a somewhat poor example of that because both teams still gained about 450+ yards in that game. What that game actually showed was how important it is to win in the trenches. Auburn got 11 tackles for loss in that game, all but one coming from the D-Line (and 3 by Fairley). Yeah, they shut down the run, but Auburn's secondary still got a good amount of yards put up on them and besides the two picks early in that game, gave Darron Thomas some of his best stats.

Let's also not act like that Auburn team was led by their defense that year. Fairley was phenomenal, the rest were average to bad most weeks.

That defense was sketchy. They had a knack for coming up with huge plays at the right time, but they gave up a lot of yards to some teams.

          That NC Game was weird.

The turf was terrible and really did limit both offenses. So many slips and falls from speed guys like Onterrio McCalebb.

As long as it is a close game throughout, where I don't know the who the winner will be until the last minute, or even last second, then I am happy as a fan.

Doesn't matter if it is a score of 9-6 or a score of 48-42 to me, as long as it is close and down to the wire.

I thought the 2011 LSU/Bama game was fantastic to watch as a neutral fan.

I believe we have a winner for least common opinion. I HATE going to the dentist. My dentist reminds me of the Wicked Witch of the West.

I don't even mind getting my teeth drilled/filled either. It just never really bothered me.

Hell, even when I had my wisdom teeth extracted, I refused to be put under and opted for local anesthetic.

I wish I had the option to be put under for mine. I had an infection from one of mine growing in, and they started pulling it before the anesthetic kicked in... might be the most pain I've ever been in.

I got put under when I got my wisdom teeth pulled. It was actually a pretty nice experience. My mom picked me up after I got them and another tooth pulled, and I was apparently incredibly loopy. Went and got ice cream and I remember having a full conversation with her, but apparently I wasn't talking much sense.

Didn't feel any pain at all after I got them pulled. Got to do nothing but shoot hoops in basketball practice for like 2 weeks as well. It was nice.

You'll get yours when you get a root canal.

I did my wisdom teeth with as little anesthetic as possible. I was awake and communicating the whole time, didn't feel a thing. Was fine later that day and was eating normally in 2 days.

And I wouldn't say I like going to the dentist, but there is a hot dental hygenist at the place I go to back home that often times wears loose scrub tops. Seems like a fair trade off to me.
