 Re: Uncommon Opinions

I hate flying in video games, especially helicopters. I lost count how many times I died in GTAV trying to land a plane or a helicopter on the yellow marker. Thank goodness you didn't have to be directly on it and just near it.Comment

 Re: Uncommon Opinions

 The non-word "irregardless" has a proper place in the English language, despite the double-negative connotation. I don't use it though because of how much society frowns on the word for whatever reason.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

 Re: Uncommon Opinions

It's probably because "I don't give a ****" is a more popular and easy to understand phrasing.

See, let me use it in a sentence.

"This man just keeps on going irregardless of the consequences".

"This man does not give a ****".

 See its:

 1. Simpler
 2. Easier to use in a sentence

Irregardless seems like a word you'd most likely hear in a sports broadcast/radio/television to generate hype/excitement. I think the use of the slashes were excessive here Comment

 Re: Uncommon Opinions

If you say "regardless" you are essentially saying the same thing as people who use "irregardless," so I have to disagree that it has a place in the English language.

On the note of grammar, I can't stand people who say "I could care less." If you can care less, then that means you care at least some. What you really mean to say is "I couldn't care less.Last edited by mb625; 09-23-2013, 09:56 PM.MLB: Minnesota Twins

 Re: Uncommon Opinions

It probably wouldn't have hurt to stop multi-tasking and pay attention to it. I don't think I could enjoy any TV show if I was watching another one at the same time. YNWA YNWAComment
