It depends on how big your TV is and what you're watching. But for brand-new content that is specifically designed to show off 4K, it can be amazing. I saw a demo reel for some 4K footage, and I wasn't expecting it to be much better, but it was actually noticeably sharper. Hard to explain, but there was a shot of Manhattan and FDR drive from across the river in Brooklyn (the skyline shot everyone's seen a million times) at night, and not only could you see the headlights of all the cars individually, but you could see the individual cars as they were driving on FDR, even though they were each only like 1-cm on the screen. I'm sure there will be no reason to have a 4k TV for years to come, but when it's good, it's awesome...
As far as uncommon opinions, mine is that when evaluating the greatness of an individual player in a team sport (especially for a sport like football), championships mean nothing. When evaluating teams, championships are basically the sole criterion. But for individuals - absolutely nothing.
