And it grinds my gears when people say you don't like something because you don't understand it. Let me teach you about it, then you will like it too. Reminds me of when I tell people I don't eat or drink certain things. Their 1st response is well I bet you never had it prepared this way before or you never drunk this brand before, it will change your perception.

Notice I said a most things…doesn't mean once you learn about it you will or have to like it. At least now you know what you aren't liking at least…when I hear people talk about how boring baseball is with the generic "nothing happens" "there is no action" or something like that I figure they really aren't looking.

I've been watching/playing baseball for years…and I'm still learning intricacies every day. There is a lot going on that people don't appreciate.

Uncommon Opinions

As a kid I used to watch Hockey late at night to put me to sleep, now I love it. Baseball I thought was boring until the middle of the '03 MLB season and eventually a few years later I came to love it. While I'll probably never be watching a random English soccer game I've grown to like some soccer at times.

I would say the common factor in all of that change is learning the game. I would compare it seeing a trailer for a movie and saying the movie sucked. It's hard to judge something accurately when you have no idea what's going on imo. Of course doesn't mean you have to enjoy it even if you understand, cause I'll never seriously watch tennis or golf.

Playoff baseball is fun. The whole 162 games deal turns me off it. Same with basketball's 82 games. Half the stadium is empty, nothing is on the line. Its just a chore to get through. But the playoffs, yeah I can get into that.

Agreed. I have never liked any type of alcohol. I'm 29 and I have never been drunk a day in my life. That's what happens when you don't drink ever.
