 Re: Uncommon Opinions

I like Michael Bay for the most part and the first Transformers was decent. 2nd and 3rd were not very good, way too long among other things.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

 Re: Uncommon Opinions

First Transformer movie is really fun to watch. In a vacuum, it's fine.

But that ****ing 2nd movie is an abortion. Forget anything about Transformers, that movie is just tedious. And I have never seen the 3rd one so I cannot say.Too Old To Game Club

 Re: Uncommon Opinions

I wasn't a fan of the Transformers movies, at all. They were all terrible to me. I was never a fan of Transformers growing up, though.

I hate Michael Bay, but it could be a lot worse since he gave us The Rock and Bad Boys II (which was just a real fun watch for me.) I guess I can throw Armageddon in there as well, but I'm not crazy about it. Not a terrible movie to me by any means though.

Everything else of his can go crawl in a hole and die, though.badComment

 Re: Uncommon Opinions

 Beast Wars > Transformers.

I enjoyed all of the Transformers. I'm easily satisfied. I just didn't like how complicated they looked. In a dark theatre, I couldn't tell who was fighting who (or is it whom?).Originally posted by MoJust once I'd like to be the one they call a jerk off.Originally posted by MoYou underestimate my lazinessOriginally posted by Mo**** ya

 Re: Uncommon Opinions

Apparently you're not alone: Leave Michael Bay Alone...Michael Bay is a good director.

I don't really get the hate, especially when it comes to Transformers.

I think those movies are awesome and a lot of people need to put their childhood on the back burner for a minute, quit being critical and move on if they don't like the movies.

 Just an opinion, though

 Re: Uncommon Opinions

It depends what you're looking for in a movie. If you just want mindless action, loud noises, and absolutely no subtlety or character work at all then Michael Bay is probably fine.

That's just not my thing. Outside of the first Transformers, which I found pretty fun.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

 Re: Uncommon Opinions

I think they're okay... They're certainly not on the level of Game of Thrones or Boardwalk Empire. Hell, they're not even on Sons of Anarchy or The Walking Dead's level. With that said, they're better than anything else on the major networks. I actually don't consider any shows on The Big Three as "Must See TV" anymore and haven't for awhile. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

 Re: Uncommon Opinions

The only show I watch on network tv is Bob's Burgers.

I think OITNB is slightly above FX's shows especially once the early character foundations are built. I would say its on the same level as the first season or two of Weeds before that plunged to a silly death.
