Chicken taste nasty to me........Never cared for it. I will eat a chicken sandwich from a fast food place or some chicken strips but that is about it. I can careless about chicken.

I prefer ham over turkey. Don't celebrate man made holidays, never did. Being married with annoying in-laws I dislike Thanksgiving and Christmas now. Only thing I care about nowadays is my birthday.

Also I hate baked mac n cheese.

Which bring me to yet another UC:

Turkey is vastly inferior than chicken, or even duck. The best cooked turkey isn't better than the worst piece of reheated gas station fried chicken. And stuffing is disgusting too. Hell, Thanksgiving itself is already overlooked by Christmas, I can't justify that. And to make matters worse, Thanksgiving means Finals are no more than a week away.

The only saving grace of Thanksgiving is pecan pie and NFL, which is a lesser product than college football. Had I expanded the list, it would be at 6.

Oh man.... that's just, I can't, hm.


Thanksgiving isn't about the turkey, if you are lucky enough to get a ham as well, that is the saving grace.


Thanksgiving is about the corn pudding, green been casserole, greens, deviled eggs, Thanksgiving is about what surrounds the (usually dry and tasteless) bird in the middle of the table. Homemade mac and cheese and dressing (stuffing)..... THE BEST SIDES EVER.

This is probably where I say I stopped liking Mac and Cheese around 12. Now I can't eat overly cheesy things. There's some pizza joints that I can't eat at because it's just too much cheese. I only have cheese on burgers at "gourmet" places. Can't have it from Burger King or 5 Guys.

That includes nachos and pretty much everything where cheese is the main ingredient, like cheese fries.

food chain for me:

gyros > Italian beef > shrimp > Chinese food > anything beef (steak, ribs, hamburgers) >pork tenderloin > pizza > ham > duck > turkey > chicken > fish

Best holiday sides for me:

Potato salad > dressing > wild rice > candy yams > coleslaw > anything else

Sad thing for me is, my wife and her bloodline don't eat any of the sides I like, they don't even know what a gyro or Italian beef is. My wife and her bloodline hates BBQ sauce and when they BBQ only thing they BBQ is hot dogs and hamburgers. I be so hating going over their houses. I be looking at them thinking, no steak, no ribs, no hotlinks, not even polishes, no potato salad.....what kind of freaking BBQ is this ?

My wife and her bloodline hates BBQ sauce and when they BBQ only thing they BBQ is hot dogs and hamburgers. I be so hating going over their houses. I wouldn't even go to their BBQs. Hot dogs and burgers are what you make for a kid's b-day party, not a BBQ.

That is what Ashleigh's brother requests for his birthday dinner every year. Grilled hamburgers and hotdogs. Granted its in July, but still. He is married with two kids. Everybody else requests country low broil, fried chicken, shrimp n grits, veal parmesan, and he gets hamburgers and hot dogs.

Not to them it is not. They swear up and down it is a BBQ. When I 1st moved out here I got into a big long argument with them over it for about 40 minutes

I have no choice. If I don't go my wife literally will bitch about it for a month straight. That is what happened the last time I didn't go, she bitched for an entire month......Every subject, she would bring it up.
