I was in high school when power rangers came out. Show never did anything for me. To me it was a live action Voltron wannabe. When I was in high school, the only tv shows I watched was the following:

Different World
Family Matters


Then late at night I watched reruns of the following:

All in The Family
The Jeffersons
Good Times

Yea man, I'm sure I wouldn't have watched Power Rangers when it first came out if I was in high school either. I'm sure Fox Kids were going for a slightly younger demographic.

I started watching Power Rangers when I was 5. Didn't really watch much once they left Mighty Morphin behind. I tried to go back and watch some on Netflix, but Amy Jo Johnson just doesn't do it anymore so I gave up after about 10.
