Re: Is My Internet Speed Good For Online Gaming?
Two tips to improve your online experience:
1) Use CAT7 Ethernet cables. They can be bought on Amazon for $10 or less. If possible, you want to limit yourself to under 10 ft. in length. The shorter the cable, the better.
2) If you have no option besides going wireless over Wi-Fi, just know that it will hurt your speed and result in more randoms disconnections. The best you can do to maximize Wi-Fi performance is to place your router up high in the air with as little physical interference (walls, solid objects) around it as possible . I have mine propped up on a stool in the middle of a room and it improves the signal tremendously versus having it sitting at floor-level in a corner.Last edited by jyoung; 03-02-2013, 01:06 PM.Comment

You don't notice drop off in speeds until your cord length is beyond 300ft.Comment

And cat7 isn't going to show any significant benefits over cat5e or cat6 in most home networks.Comment

As far as the OP question, your upload is a bit low. That's actually a weird looking connection. Never seen that good of download, but not even 1mbps up. Honestly, though, in my experiences most connections are perfectly fine for playing games online. Even DSL is plenty good enough, unless your company name is CenturyLink who I had for one year. Never. Again. Around 3-4pm every single day my connection would begin to act up. Speeds would slow down and my ping would sky rocket into the 500ms range. It didn't drop back down to normal until around 10-12pm each day.Indianapolis Colts

Re: Is My Internet Speed Good For Online Gaming?
It is surprisingly fast though. I'm using the "blast" internet from Comcast which I think is only one notch higher than their slowest package, but they advertise it for 20 down and 3 up. As you can see I somehow almost double both of those speeds.Indianapolis Colts

Yeah, that is a crazy looking connection. It's not bad SPTO, but it's odd you have such a ridiculously high download but only 3mb up.
