I concur with what you said about not being surprised by anything after 9/11, Matrix. I won't jump to conclusions, but the location and timing of the blasts just makes it seem unlikely that it wasn't deliberate.

If it was terrorist related, it seems like it would have been on a bigger scale. As ****ed up as things are in the world, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if it was an American citizen behind it.

I'll hold my breath and wait for some light to be shed, though. There are so many unconfirmed stories floating around right now. It's hard to make sense of the situation.

Hoping for the best and none of our OSers or their families are injured. I know we have several people from the area.

Man watching that, I'd be shocked if anybody survived this explosion.

I work in DC and right outside my building, there's a heavier Police Presence out here than usual.

Just hope there aren't many casualties and that our OS folks in that area are OK though. **** man....smh

I was shocked to hear about this when I was getting my haircut. According to Univison, people on site were saying some of the victim's intestines were out. I'm praying for the victims.

I think they're just on the hunt for more possible devices, I don't think anything has been found yet.

We now expect terrorist attacks to be huge in scale because of the WTC and the Pentagon but the rest of the world deals with smaller explosions (suicide bombers etc.) all the time. It was only a matter of time before it hit the US.

Terrifying. The video of the bombs going off and people falling down getting ready to cross the finish line is just bone chilling.

Hearing as many as 50 injuries according to the former Boston Police Chief. The explosions happened right by the special seating for family and relatives of the Newtown shooting.

It is super unfortunate that things like this happen, and cannot send my thoughts and prayers quicker to the parties involved today. There are really some sick people out there.

Not like it really matters. People are dead and people hurt. Horrifying.
