Was very sorry to read this. No words can offer any solace or comfort, but getting this out in a community like this, and the responses here - well, it shows you're part of something bigger than yourself. Take strength in that. Though many of us will never meet face-to-face in this life, we share a common bond here that is meaningful to all of us, something that goes beyond video games.

Reminds me so much of a family tragedy with my family.

7 years ago I remember waking up and my mother was on the phone and was crying. Naturally I thought something happened to my dad who drives semi over night. But it ended up being my cousin who was a year older than me and pretty much like a brother to me. He was missing. His car had gone into the river in my home town. They had pulled his car out but he wasn't in it. 10 days later he had surfaced and was found 5 miles down stream. Was a real heart breaker for my family, much like I'm sure this is for yours. Stay strong man.

The outpooring of support really is overwhelming. My grandmother, along with several other people's churches, have brought huge home cooked meals. There's seriously too much food, along with other fruits, vegetables, drinks, toys, kids snacks, desserts, etc.



Funeral home is tonight and services tomorrow at 11am. Its going to be a rough few days.



It really makes me sad and when I think about how he died, it really puts me in a state of shock. I wish I could explain what kind of personality this guy had. Extremely personable and had more friends than you can even count.



I can't post from tapatalk, but I'll share his obituary on twitter if anyone actually wanted to read it. You can tell by the nicknames just what type of person he is. Any nickname for my niece and nephew are just what he called them.

Sorry to hear this, Chase. I'd heard and read about it, being semi-local to me, but you never think or want to make the connection to someone you actually know of. Terribly sorry for your loss.
