Been lurking since 05 or something like that. I think I initially ended up joining to give my .02 on madden and download some rosters.Student of the game. #Fundamentals

Re: How long have you been around OS?

OS has almost turned into a form of social media for me.

I'm more interested in what's going on with OSers than I am friends and family on my Facebook. Then I get to looking at my Twitter followers and who I follow and the majority of them are also OSers.

A guy asked me a few days ago, "So I saw that you were talking to another guy on twitter with the _OS on their name. What's that ?"

Me: If I told you, I would have to kill you.

It's not that I really care about someone knowing, I don't go out of my way to hide anything. I even wore the shirt for a while until I had holes in it. OS is just that place I can go to on the internet and get away from everything else with my life. I don't need co workers reading where I post about being lazy and ****.

I can discuss wrestling and video games on a different level and really "nerd out", which I can't do with my friends or family. I realize how discussing sports with people who have strong opinions in real life just grinds my ****ing gears. On OS I can just block someone, close a thread, etc. if it's getting too bad.

I try to talk to my Lebron James fan co workers about the NBA and can't get a ****ing word in. They all probably think I'm stupid when it comes to sports or something.

I really don't browse that many websites. Facebook, Twitter, OS, Google, and YouTube.

 I don't even have a nice computer or laptop anymore. I don't need it with a nice phone.Last edited by AUChase; 07-16-2013, 10:57 AM.Comment

Signed up in August 2004, don't think I started seriously posting until 2006. Not sure how I got here... I think it was just the quality game reviews. OS always seemed to have the most honest reviews, and that drew me in.

I've frequented a few boards in my time but OS has been it the past couple of years. Being able to browse via Tapatalk is awesome.Last edited by slickdtc; 07-16-2013, 10:56 AM.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
 NFL - Buffalo Bills
 MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: How long have you been around OS?

This is another huge selling point of OS. Hard to nerd out around family/friends sometimes and getting any worthwhile feedback is hopeless.OS has almost turned into a form of social media for me.

That is SO true. As we've gotten older I think I'm still the only one that plays games and it is borderline impossible to "nerd out" with anybody but fellow game nerds. I can't imagine the looks if anybody saw the dynasty reports of old or how adamant one can be about the little nuances in these games that we want to be correct but others never notice and don't care about. Lol

Re: How long have you been around OS?

I first found this site in 2006 looking for 2k5 sliders. For some reason I never joined and just lurked.

Honestly, up until a few months ago I never really checked out anything other than the madden or ncaa boards. There is a lot of good stuff around here. It sucks being an unknown but I'd like to be more active around these ancillary forums"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: How long have you been around OS?

Pretty nuts that I hit 9 years this month. I still remember the day I first came to OS, looking for Madden 2005 (Ray Lewis cover?) sliders. From that moment I fell in love with the OS community. Heck, I haven't had a gaming console for 5+ years, yet I still visit the site (professional lurker).

Glad to see the OS community growing!Comment

Re: How long have you been around OS?

Hard to believe I've been here as a member for 10 years, I joined for info on All Star Baseball back in the day and didn't really know how much I'd wind up using this site thus my very unique username. I would've changed it when I donated but after having been here for awhile already figured might as well stay with the generic name.Favorite Teams:
NCAA- University of Illinois Fighting Illini
 NFL- Cleveland Browns
 MLB- St. Louis Cardinals
 NBA- Boston Celtics
 NHL- Chicago Blackhawks
