Yes they do, Montreal is in Quebec and they have the Montreal Canadians that play there.

Was basically the hockey equivalent to Yankees-Mets,Jets-Giants and so on.

Instead, NHL decides that Phoenix and Florida is better choice for teams....Nordiques move to Denver did suck,but at least the Avs have been a good franchise too.

Why more people voted for Whalers over Nordiques?

I voted for the Whalers because I live in Connecticut. Not a mystery.

Yankees-Mets and Giants-Jets aren't exactly huge rivalries compared to Red Sox-Yankees and Cowboys-Giants.

If the Whalers came back, the people here would be torn between dropping the Rangers/Bruins and switch to the Whalers, or stay with the Rangers/Bruins. Those would be good games. Whalers/Rangers and Whalers/Bruins.

for the highlands of New York, & Bud Selig stole the Pilots from Seattle.
