I tell mine to go make me a sandwich.

On another note on women and video games. My friend who is a avid FIFA player. He said one day while he was playing FIFA his wife gave him a BJ while he was playing.

I told him this automatically makes her the first women that should be cloned so every video game playing male can have one.

Someday when you have kids you'll learn to appreciate "The Playstation, Move!"

No, I'm not talking about the controller that looks like an ice cream cone. I'm referring to the all-to-often repeated phrase used in the most sarcastic of tones... "Uh...hello? I'm playing The Playstation, Move!"

In some circles, 'The Playstation Move' is an actual tactic used by gamers who are bobbing side-to-side in order to see the screen while children, wives and animals walk between you and the television screen.

And that is why I played NHL 2k8 so much lol. It's a shame I had to let her go.

@dat swag I do everything for her and its fun and all, but she hates video games and calls me a nerd for it. So when it's time to relax and she's watching tlc she can deal with it.

I think some of your wives/girlfriends need to find some hobbies or learn how to entertain themselves. I get spending time together but you also need time apart. For me that's playing video games, reading, writing and for her it's watching law and order, reality tv, reading, and or doing her other hobbies. Time apart to do what you wanna do is good.

I've never quite understood these type of issues where the significant other has a problem with video games. I personally wouldn't be with someone that petty.

Mine gf is pretty much the same way. Loved watching me play Uncharted, Last of Us, Heavy Rain. Couldn't care less about watching me play sports games, but to her credit, about 80% of the time I'm playing a sports game, I'm in menus editing stuff, looking at stats, doing sliders, etc.

My wife is not the biggest fans of the games, never really complains about it but I know it isn't her favorite thing. I wasn't going to get NCAA this year because I figured I would spend my gaming time on madden when it came out and didn't want to buy both. The wife came home last night and dropped NCAA in front of me "just because".

Late night!!! Especially on the weekend... I don't even play during the day. But that my choice. Games look better at night on HDTV.

My girlfriend of six years enjoys playing NCAA. She's not great or anything, but she has fun with it. She also really enjoys watching football too.

                      You need a man cave.
I disappear for a few hours a week with no complaints.
It was built so she wouldn't have to watch sports with me and I just threw the PS3 down there too.

She never says a peep because the alternative for her is to watch me play.

We still watch DVR'd shows every night, then when I'm ready to play she watches her Kardashian crap and I watch my sports or PS3.

NCAA has caused many a fight between my wife and I. Maybe I get too emotional, but if I just lost a big game and my National Title hopes are ruined, she might as well not attempt to communicate with me the rest of the day.

I was 11-0 w/ FSU going into the Florida game last year. I was up 17-0 on the road, ended up losing 23-20. "It's just a game" she says.

compromise hell.... dealt with a whole summer of Lifetime movies and VH1 reality shows and still catch **** when I try to get a good 30 or 45 min of a dynasty in late at night.

As a husband or good boyfriend you have to find a balance that allows you to spend quality time with your wife, girlfriend, side-piece and family. At the end of the day if your significant other is not happy...You won't be happy. here is a tip...spend real quality time because you want to do it...Don't do it while watching your clock hoping she falls asleep or goes to bed...She will know if your being phony or just trying to appease her...Be real

On the flip side...your wife, girlfriend, side-piece and family needs to RESPECT your choice and interests...If you like to game and that brings you relaxation and enjoyment she needs to respect and support your interest in the hobby you choose. Hell, my wife and I used to play Madden against each other...She sucked but it wasn't about anything other than us doing something together and her taking an interest in something I like just as I do with her interests.

Now with all this being said...Just know that your lady will still want to get into a deep conversation with you on 3rd and 5 yards to go with under 2 minutes in the game...Don't get mad...just roll with it...She will also walk right across the screen mid play...Those are just known hazards.

Fellas...Love your girl, your family and your hobbies...Life is too short. If your with someone who disrespects your choices and hobby then the issue is much bigger than the game so you might want to address those issues in a more serious manner. peace
Side-piece have to be kept real happy; unhappy side-piece = baby I just got a promotion in another state.

Back to topic, its a compromise, but jealousy and hate will pop off occasionally.

                            Sent from..........wait for it............me

20 years of marriage, I play every night pretty much. She gets her time, I get mine and we both win!

I have a few hours at home before she gets home, whenever I get done with whatever I'm doing when she gets home the xbox gets turned off. We spend from the time she gets home to bedtime together doing whatever. On the weekends I'm normally up before she is and am able to get a few games in. I also get some games in on the weekend during the evening if nothing is going on. It's always a good idea to go to bed together.
