    Cortisone Shots

I just received a cortisone shot under my left pinky in the palm of my hand to treat my trigger finger (locking of the finger). The trigger finger was never painful, but the finger getting caught is sometimes a nuisance.

So I got the shot, and it felt realllly weird when the needle was in my hand. When I left the hospital, I started feeling a numbness (like there is no blood in my finger) and tingling sensation in my hand. This feeling has been present for the past couple hours and has shown no sign of going away. Is this normal? It feels like they hit a nerve...

Lol. Yeah its normal. I got a shot in the *** once. Made me feel like I was going to pass out. It'll go away. Stop being so paranoid and you'll forget it even happened.

I got one in my shoulder a while ago, it was numb for a few hours and hurt for a while. Seems normal to me.

Numbing went away. Hand feels fine now but the locking is still there.

Looks like the shot didn't do anything.

Quick, go play some basketball and say you got the shot so you could be a man and play through injury!

              Time to amputate it!

I think you need relax a bit. It isn't instant. Give it a few days. Then you can say it doesn't work.

give it 1 month .. if it comes back/still is locking up by then, then you need to do something more extreme as it won't work
