Point blank: the only milk we are "supposed" to consume is that of our mother's and only during infancy. Anything beyond that is overkill.

I use soy or almond milk (both are dairy free) on my cereal and I use chocolate soy milk (also dairy free) in my protein shakes. The only time I ever consume dairy milk is when I treat myself to a scoop or two of ice cream and that is a rarity.

          I don't follow you..?

I throw the milk out after 3 days. Buy new milk my next time grocery shopping.

          Rinse. Repeat.

The milks already 3 days old whenever you buy it.

That's the point he's getting at.

Milk on its own is not something I do, unless I chug a couple of cups for quick heartburn relief.

              Obviously in cereal.

I haven't had milk in a year or so. Trying to get healthier, so I drink almond milk now.

I actually find most of that store bought chocolate milk to thick/rich for my taste.

That seems rather wasteful. Why size cartons/jugs do you get? When I buy milk I always look for jugs with a sell by date at least 10 days after the current date, though my mom always told me that it would still be good for about another 10 days after that.

I just look at the date and sometimes even if it's expired by a day or so It's still good.

I'm with you. I can't stand milk - cold or warm. And generally, I don't like drinks that aren't transparent/semi-transparent - as I never too sure what I might find in there at the bottom of the glass...

I don't drink any kind of coffee, or any other drink with milk. I eat lots of cheese, if that makes up for it...I hope.

Organic milk undergoes a different type of preservation process that kills all the bacteria where pasteurization does not.
