My university has the ****tiest parking, especially for a school that mainly consists of commuters. Drove around north campus parking lot and garage with about 20 other cars for an hour trying to find a spot. None at all. I drove to an entirely different campus across the city and the garage was filled to the top.
I just wasted about an hour trying to find a spot and I'm now running late for an exam which I cannot make up. I debated on driving to another campus in hopes to find a spot, but I figured I would not be able to make it on time to class which is located on the first campus I tried. I decided to drive up to the very top and park at the very end knowing I run this risk of getting a parking violation. I wrote a little note stating, "I know I'm in the wrong for parking here, but there honestly are no spots anywhere. I have an exam to rush to.... throw in some extra fluff...blahblah" I just hoped I can show up in the final 20 minutes of class and be allowed to take the exam and maybe the officer writing tickets may show some sympathy. I even made sure to park at the very top against the wall where it does not even impede any other car.
Guess what happened? I did make it to class, but I was not allowed to take the exam because I missed 3/4 of class time. Her syllabus states that no exam can be made up so make sure you are on time. Great! I spent an hour and a half looking for a spot, only to find none available. I walk all the way back to my car and I find a ticket on my windshield. The absolute worst possible outcomes happened to me. This is probably the worst day I've had in a long time.Last edited by mikenoob; 02-19-2014, 02:09 PM.Comment

I had one for a short period of time as it actually made my Cable Bill cheaper when it was packaged with Internet and TV. I gave out the number to family as an emergency number in the event that I ever go too long without responding to texts and/or phone calls. But despite my best efforts, I could never keep it plugged in for more than a few hours at a time. I was getting 10+ calls a day from debt collectors looking for the previous owner of the number and telemarketers. Even being signed up on a do not call list. I yanked it out, cancelled the phone service on my bill and laughed at the fact that my bill didn't go up.Comment

Only reason I have a landline is because is slashes my total bill for internet and cable if you have all three with Optimum. I dont remember the last time I actually answered that phone. Usually telemarketers.Comment
