        Another old underrated football game was NFL 95 for Sega. Never had a chance to play NFL 98, but 95 used to be the highlight of visiting my cousin. Although, I always play as the Lions so maybe having prime Barry on my side influences my nostalgia a bit, plus I think there was a Mel Gray glitch

                                Late, but two things about 2k5:

                                Its speed burst mechanic (mashing a button) is among the worst I've ever seen in a "sim" game.

                                And letting go of that game after several years is one of the best decisions I've made in my gaming life. Helps me enjoy Madden for what it is, instead of pining endlessly over what 2k could have been.
