I work 11 PM - 7 AM so my schedule is pretty much ****ed. A "normal" day for me would be sleeping around 9 and waking up around 3 or 4.

Not really. He/she is a bit old for that. But it may not be any sort of big deal.

Non-thread-worthy random question.

Those of you that work typical 9-5 jobs, what time do you sleep? Get up?

I work 7-3:30 so I'm usually knocked out by 12:30 and have to be up by no later 5:45.

Luckily, I don't have that long of a commute so I can sometimes cheat it to 6:00.

So, I've been at a wedding the past couple of days, and on the night before I may have had a few drinks. I got locked out of my hotel room and ended up wandering into the first room with an open door, and promptly diving into the bed. It happened to be the bride's aunt and uncle's room, so that was good. She actually told him as she was leaving the room earlier that he might want to close the door before someone wanders in. Well he didn't, and so I now have the great honor of being the best drunk story from the wedding. I was told it was a memory that will not be forgotten. I see these people all the time.

Out here every park and lake is holding it on a different night. So effectively every night this week there has been a firework show, with the last one going off tomorrow night. So for 7 straight nights I had to put up with it.

My parents apartment complex banned all fireworks given that they had a building burn down within the last year(due to a cigarette but still). So it's been relatively peaceful which is great with 2 dogs who would flip out.

Missed the whole food discussion, but I can safely say that their choice for Iowa is iffy at best. I mean, yes, it's about the only choice you have when you get down to in the whole "foods come up with in our state" category, but I have never once told someone "Hey, dude, you HAVE to get a Maidrite in Iowa." In fact, I've never been to a Maid-Rite. Not once. I've had my fair share of maidrites, but never actually had one that was made at the restaurant. And they aren't even that good unless you drown them in Ketchup... and I despise Ketchup. My nomination is corn on the cob... because Heaven knows we have a whole mess of that in Iowa.
