That is a joke. Believe it or not, Joe Buck actually has a decent sense of humor. He doesn't really take himself as seriously as he seems to when he's announcing.

Yeah wasn't there one with people telling him how much he sucks last year or a couple years ago? Plus the one where he was walking around New York and people were yelling at him

The problem is most of them have the same, predictable structure where the final game is ridiculously close or there's some Cinderella comeback.

This was also one of my few issues with the Friday Night Lights TV show. The movie actually executed this very well though, I thought, and is probably a big reason why I'd rank it #1 for best football movie (and possibly sports movie).

It's annoying how predictable sports movies are. Has there ever been a movie about the team coming up short in the end? Well yeah probably, but it doesn't happen often enough to make you feel the outcome is actually in doubt.

I'd love to see a movie where the team gets absolutely bitchslapped in the big game lol, like a football themed Shakespearean tragedy.

Sports movie are like comic book movies, you pretty know how it's going to end but you watch for the beginning and middle. I'm entertained easily and critique things so much so I enjoy both.

Yep. Right after my favorite line in all of sports movies: "For the state championship, I love all y'all baby." or something along those lines.

To some extent, maybe, but I wouldn't say that's entirely true. I had no idea how The Dark Knight or The Dark Knight Rises would end.

And speaking of tragic endings...Imagine if more movies had those big tragic endings where absolutely nothing good happened to any of the main characters. lol, like if in Harry Potter had Voldemort won and took over the entire world and that's how the series ends. Or if the Spiderman movie series ends with Spiderman dying and the bad guys taking over the world.

Well I mean you pretty much know Batman is going to live and probably win in some fashion.

There was a 15-25 second window where I honestly thought Batman was dead.

You still have to watch it regardless. It really is a great movie.
