People on my street are getting more annoying as time goes on.Friday night some people have a party and leave their doors/windows open so everyone on the block can hear their music until like 1am. Yesterday at 8am someone decides to have people over at their house so they all just stand outside, talking really loud at 8am and having their kids running around screaming. And now today, some idiots on my street decide that they have nothing better to do at 9am on a Sunday so they decide to cut their grass among other things around their house(and have been doing so for past 2 hours), using these insanely loud gas powered tools. Things so loud I'm sure you could probably hear it 2-3 blocks away.

Don't have a problem with people doing either one of those things,it's just the times in which they do it at.

Which brings up my question.....What time would people say is the earliest(and latest) people should be making noise like that?

On a weekend I'd say no earlier than 10am and no later than 10pm. On a weekday I'd say no earlier than 8am and no later than 8pm.

What was the topic?

We picked three ideas at random from a game jam idea generator, and ended up with:

sneaky
bouncy
winnable war

I don't think we hit the last theme whatsoever, but we did end up making a pretty nifty little stealth game leveraging the other two ideas. It'll end up on our website eventually (this was a game jam internal to SRRN Games).

On a weekend I'd say no earlier than 10am and no later than 10pm. On a weekday I'd say no earlier than 8am and no later than 8pm.

I get this post and inconsiderate noisy neighbors are excellent beat down candidates.

However for me...I will occasionally do yard work during summer early on weekends like around 9, just to beat the heat. Never earlier than that though. Usually my yard work gets done after work during the week.

Neighborhood homes and kids should be quiet after 10pm except for New Years and July 4th. Period.

And get off my lawn.

I agree with 8am but I'm only going to make noise until 9pm, little kids are usually asleep my then and people will bitch and moan if you keep their kids up.

Was just on Grantland and they had a feature on the actor who played Germaine on the Mighty Ducks trilogy. I didn't know Fulton Reed is his real life brother. And apparently those two hang out with Adam Banks (cake eater) and Jesse Hall. That made me happy. Great movies, my childhood.

Just got done with my first game jam in years.

For those of you who aren't aware, a game jam is when you (typically with a small team) make a complete video game in a very short time period. In our case, 72 hours. We have some extra time tomorrow to polish things up, but we're basically done.

I am le tired. But a good tired.

I'll do that if you all are interested, lol. It'll be up on our website within the next two weeks, I'm sure.

In the meantime, here's a game my colleagues made in a game jam in May (I was part of this one only part-time in a game designer role; last month was the first of our monthly internal game jams) - a reverse world-takeover game called "Uncivilize". It'll be up on the App Store soon as well, I'm pretty sure we're releasing it for free there whenever it gets approved.

It's nice to be making games again.
