I think if there's one magazine I'd actually consider worth subscribing to, it'd be Men's Health. I find when I'm at the chiropractor that I never have enough time to read it.

Can I use the word let's in a formal essay? I feel like this is necessary, because using "let us" doesn't exactly carry the same literal translation that you're hoping for when putting it in context. I just think this should be the exception to use of contractions, but what do you guys think?

              Anyone able to answer this?

I got a jersey from a store and I've worn it like 2-3 times already too.The player of the team might not be coming back(main reason why I got it for the price I did, cause that store prob had the same feeling and wanted to get it cleared out if that was the case,I bought it just incase they did stay, cause then the price I got it at would've been a steal) so I don't really want to keep it anymore if that's the case,I want to possibly see if I can exchange it and get a diff one. I want to return it, and I still have the receipt, and it says I can exchange it within a certain time period(and as of now,it's still within that time period), or even "refund unused items".

So was wondering if anyone thinks I'd be able to return the shirt I bought and just get a diff one or something? Cause I'm sure the people at the store will know the second I'm returning it that it's only because that player is on a diff team now. Obviously can't refund it, but just exchange for a diff item possibly

I'd use let's. Even if you do get marked for it, it's not a make or break mistake.

If the return policy states you can return the item within certain time, then you should be good. Hell, if you pester places they'll return stuff even out of date. They'd rather break policy then have someone speak badly of them.

The game I posted in here the other day (from the May game jam, not the one we just completed) is now available for iPhone and iPad for the low price of free. Android version later today (I think? possible later this week). Check it out if you'd like!

Anyone else find it difficult to sleep in dead silence? Last night a truck slammed into the pub on the corner & took out a power pole on the way (it happened about 500 ft from my building!), causing a local blackout. The news said it affected about 1000 customers. Since the power didn't come back til after 7am I had to sleep in complete silence and it wasn't happening. I usually have a fan blowing, plus the TV on sleep timer, it's really weird trying to sleep when nothing is happening at all.

In those cases, I make an hour long playlist on my phone and play music or a podcast softly.

How do you not laugh out loud everytime you watch that clip? I have watched it 4 times since you posted it and it is still funny.

I can, it doesn't bother me at all. When I want to sleep, I sleep. Don't matter if it is complete silence or a war going on with explosions going off.....

I need something to help me get to sleep as well. I use to leave the TV on ESPN news as they repeat most of the night, now I just leave music on via Slacker with a sleep timer.

I would have laid there for hours starring at my ceiling and gone deep in thought and the mental stimulation would have kept me up until who knows what stupid hour. I have the AC on non-stop all night because the noise is necessary for me. I pretty much have to watch TV to until I get to the point where I can just shut it off and roll over and go to sleep. Silence would be deafening. I need the mindlessness to keep my brain from going into deep thought.

My allergies have been acting up for the last few days. Yesterday during a sneezing fit, I managed to strain my neck. Haven't been able to look left without a ton of pain since. Can barely look anywhere without feeling something. Don't think I would have made it through class without being able to prop my head on the back wall.
