    Re: Off Topic 2014

History Channel is only showing us what we want to see. Just like USA giving nostop marathons of Law and Order, MTV nonstop reality, E and the Kardashians, ESPN with the LebronCenter. Once the internet became Skrong (shouout Jamies Winston) I had no reason to complain about TV anymore. I can watch whatever I like whenever I like by some app or another. I honestly dont even know why I have cable anymore.

I lied, its because it makes the internet bill cheaper.

I would consider using an app or guide ahead of time for TV serious compared to just sitting down and going through the channels and viewing the built in guide. I don't think about TV experiences ahead of time except for specific shows and sports.

If this was the 90's then I could see myself doing that. I could even see that if I didn't have the internet. If I sit down and don't see something I like, it takes less than a minute to fire up something good online.

That and sports in HD/access to sports channel apps on mobile devices. The only two reasons I still have cable.

I just think it's easy to click the tv listings link and see what's on tonight, only takes a minute. I might not watch TV at all if I don't know ahead of time something good will be on.

If I sit down and start watching pretty much anything on HGTV, History or shows like Bar Rescue with my wife, then my night is done for. I'm like let me just see if these people "Love it or List it", the next thing I know we're 20 minutes in to the next episode and I'm saying the same thing again.

Multiple tvs in the house for the win......I don't watch 99% of the stuff my wife watches. So therefore she stays in one room, I be in another. My wife likes to watch the following:

              The Bachelor
              The Bachelorette
              Hospital dramas
              Disney shows

              Hardcore Pawn
              Sister Wives

              The Biggest Loser
              The midget people tv shows
              Dog Rescue shows
              CSI
              NCIS

I don't care for none of that....

Mutiple TV's is definitely a must, but I actually don't mind most of the shows I mentioned.

My wife is great about doing her own thing 95% of the time. However, in the rare occurrence that she thinks I'm spending too much time watching sports (like during the NBA Playoffs when she wants to continue watching Orange is the New Black) then I always have my Man Room as a back-up plan.

My wife got another nursing job today, finally. She hasn't been a nurse for 8 months. Its part time, and about 25 minutes away, but its better money than her other part time job at Tractor Supply so she had to take it. I'm excited for her, but its gonna be an adjustment period again. 3rd shift weekends. So that kinda sucks, but hey, I need to keep telling myself this is a good thing.

Funny thing is that dude speaks like 4 or 5 languages and has a bachelors in sports information & comm.

He also did something for Mr. Olympia contests. I was mind blown when I read all that when I was trying to figure out who the dude in the meme was when it started.

And it really hasn't felt like summer for me that much either which sucks. Especially cause summer in Canada goes by so quick as it is, this makes it even worse. Then winter drags on for ages. Not to mention it gets darker earlier. November-February weather I hate.
