 Re: Redbox Video Codes

Yeah, though it can be inconvenient when you return them...sometimes i'm not planning to go out, so bit of effort involved. Or I forget to bring it with me on my way to work, etc....annoying cause i then pay more cause i'm not attentive.Redbox is increasing prices.

Beginning Dec. 2, DVD rentals will cost $1.50 a night, up from the current $1.20. Blu-ray disc rentals will rise to $2 a night, from $1.50, a 33% increase.

People on Facebook are freaking out, but a blu ray rental is still $3 less than an HD on-demand stream from Amazon. I guess it depends on if the 5 minutes of time it takes to stop by a Redbox is still worth saving $3 instead of $3.50...Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Plus, most people sell their UV digital copy for $3- 4 online so I'd rather pay $1 more and have a somewhat permanent copy (even if it's in the cloud). And I save the gas money.Comment

 Re: Redbox Video Codes

E-gift cards available: $10 for $6.50 or $20 for $12. You may buy up to two of either quantity.

EDIT: The fine print actually says that you may only use one and get one additionally as a gift. If that means the account recognizes that you get this kind of thing more than once, I may have just pulled the plug on an unusable set (on my end).

 If push comes to shove and I can't use my second one, anyone interested in plucking it off my hands?Last edited by Blzer; 08-20-2017, 10:20 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

 Re: Redbox Video Codes

Don't know if anyone else knows this, but if you physically visit a Redbox kiosk and add a film to your cart to the Pay Now section, many times you will be offered some sort of promotion like a free DVD/game and others.

Lately I've been going to Redbox just because it's the summer, and each time I've added a Blu-ray they have offered $1.00 off my rental if I add another Blu-ray/DVD every day for like the last week. This is why I've been seeing a bunch of films lately.

I know that's still money spent and they're probably winning in the end, but saving a dollar each time I go there for movies I'm interested in seeing regardless seems like a good way to go about business for me.

So again, what you do is you add just one disc and select Pay Now to get the promotion to pop up. If it doesn't, then I guess there isn't one for you on that day. Any time I go to the grocery store I see what the promotion is simply because.

 By the way, DVD's are now $1.75 a night whilst Blu-rays are still only $2.00. Easy to pull the plug on Blu-rays given that cheap upgrade difference.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
