The Wizard of Floyd or Dark Side of The Rainbow.
Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon and The Wizard of Oz were meant to be played synchronized.

Sorta different, but Leo DiCaprio
SpoilerJack didn't actually die on the Titanic. He survived, realized he had the Heart of the Ocean, finished his journey to New York where he changed his name, sold the diamond to start his fortune, and continued his life as Jay Gatsby, billionaire with a fear of swimming pools and the ocean.

Re: What are your favorite "Movie Theories"?
I feel like that one is off a bit. You can really tell when Dorothy opens the door to Oz. Money starts a little bit late.
I think this one is a bit better and it's the whole movie.

Re: What are your favorite "Movie Theories"?
I don't know if it's a "theory", but one of my favorite (and timely!) movie questions that launches many theories is:
Spoiler
How long was Phil Connors stuck in Punxsutawney in "Groundhog Day"?
Also, and this isn't a theory, but why didn't he just try to stay up all night one time?

The director said 10 years, but later changed his answer to 30-40. The original idea that the script was built around was that one lifetime just isn't enough.Last edited by ubernoob; 01-31-2014, 12:54 AM.badComment

Can someone explain the very end of Basic Instinct to me? It's been messing with my head since I've first seen it.
My theory:SpoilerCatherine and Beth were both in on everything and they were still lovers.Comment

Re: What are your favorite "Movie Theories"?
Originally in the screenplay he was stuck for 10,000 years. The way he was to mark the days would be to read one page of a book, and by the end he had read the entire library.

One interesting thing I read is that in the original screenplay, it starts somewhere in the middle of the infinite loop, and the viewer only slowly realizes over the course of the movie what Bill Murray's plight is. That would have been a hell of a movie. I mean, it's great and all as it is, but I think it could have been much better if they would have filmed it the way it was written....
I still want to know what would've happened if he just stayed up until 6 AM the next day though...Comment

Re: What are your favorite "Movie Theories"?
The few neat coincidences in Dark Side of the Moon/Wizard of Oz are cool, but I get a little annoyed when people think it was actually on purpose. Takes away from one of the greatest compositions of rock in modern times and the overall meaning of the album.Comment

Re: What are your favorite "Movie Theories"?
I believe that, at least in Nolan's universe, Aflred was Bruce Wayne's father. Nothing really to base this on other than Alfred was just too loyal and protective for a butler/family friend. Wayne Manor was a large house, lots a room to creep in.
EDIT: I should note that this isn't my original idea. Found it on the internet and it just makes sense to me.
Alfred was a father figure, having been around since Bruce was a kid. He was never Bruces actual father.Comment

I was hinting (not even hinting, thought it was obvious) at Mrs. Wayne stepping out on Mr. Wayne. I didn't say his parents magically didn't exist.NFL - Vikings
