Tax Season 2014
Thanks to my home in Ohio/Daycare/numerous deductions it's gonna be a nice return this year. Little over $7G's.
Other than a new set of Ping G20 or G25 Irons still undecided, not much I plan on doing with it but throw it in the Bank.

Re: Tax Season 2014
Wife and I are just waiting for one more document to come in the mail before we file. The last two years we really made out. $6,000-$7,000 both years. I really don't think we'll come close to that this year, but I said the same thing last year too.Comment

Re: Tax Season 2014
Last month I did a return prediction tool. I accidentally entered ALL the money taken by the government (medicare and SS) so I tricked myself into thinking I was getting like $4500 back...
I noticed what I did when I did it again later and found I'm getting around $900.... Not complaining though about that amount. I don't budget a return into anything since I assume one day it will be $0.Last edited by SuperBowlNachos; 02-04-2014, 10:50 AM.Comment

I withhold Single-1 and file HOH-4...I prefer it that way. I'm a big spender, this is just my way of saving, usually goes straight into the savings.Comment

Re: Tax Season 2014
Got married in 2013 and knew we would be buying a house in early-mid 2014 so I didn't adjust my withholdings so the wife and I far getting about 8K back which will be used to buy new couches, widow fixtures pay for movers etc.
I normally hate getting a return because that money is better used working in an IRA or something I felt this year with wife and I combining money that a return would lessen the moving burdens.
Next year it will be back to my standard return of around 300-500 I've been getting because of education credits.
