    #FeedtheDeed

Hey guys. Hopefully this is deemed thread worthy by the powers that be.

A little something to give everyone some faith in humanity. Something has been going around my school named #feedthedeed (and apparently around social media as a whole). Basically, what #feedthedeed is is a chain. It starts off with someone doing a good deed and then posting it on facebook, through video or text or whatever. Then, they nominate another set of people, and they then have 24 hours to perform a good deed, and these people nominate sets of people, and so on. A lot of people I know are doing it, and I actually just did mine. Have you guys heard about this, or done this yourselves? I think it's pretty great.

Good stuff. I always hoped the idea of paying it forward would catch on, on a large scale. Hopefully this can keep spreading around. The world can never have enough people helping others.

        Re: #FeedtheDeed

It wasnt "feedthedeed" or social networking inspired...but a few years ago on a really crappy day (I had the week off but got called in to do a performance evaluation that wasnt due for another month) I was on my way to work and stopped to grab lunch. I ordered then went to the window to pay and the clerk gave me a letter and said they person ahead of me "took care of it" the letter was basically "I paid for your lunch because someone paid for mine and it made my day. Pay it forward" deal. It really did make my day, so the next time I went through a drive through I did the same for the car behind me and handed the clerk the letter to give to them. The clerk was so confused, asking why I would do that then telling me that I was really nice and she wished someone would do that for her.

It is a good feeling to get, but I felt a greater feeling in the giving. Something everyone should do at least once.

Ha, I tried to do that once. On a really horrible day, I tried to pay for someone behind me in line's meal, but got refused. Apparently some people don't like free food, go figure.
