    Amazing Pictures

I saw this article and thought it was fascinating. Some of the pictures are just amazing..

In today's smartphone-, selfie- and celebrity-obsessed culture, people take some unremarkable photos. This story is about the opposite of those.

    2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami

Driving away from a volcano in the Philippines.

Mission Specialist Bruce McCandless II is seen untethered from his ship during a space walk in February 1984. His distance of 320 feet away from the Orbiter still stands as the longest in history.

John F. Kennedy has a tea party with his daughter, Caroline.

This is believed to be the last picture taken of Titanic before her sinking.

    An actual Titanic boarding pass.

Construction of the Berlin Wall in 1961.

Construction of the Eiffel Tower in 1888.

Not if you count Sandra Bullock or George Clooney.

Ugh... This one gives me shivers... That looks so nerve-wracking.

All the pictures starting with Hitler's and after that really sort of blow my mind. Insanely cool stuff.

If my mom heals from her back surgery alright, my family is going to take a trip to Belize. I've always wanted to go see the Mayan Ruins, so going to Belize was like the one thing I've stood up to my family about wanting to do. We've never traveled out of the country (besides going to Niagara Falls/Toronto, which are closer to us than New York City, so it doesn't really count), so if we actually make this happen, I'll be sure to take some pictures and post them here.

How do you start the Eiffel Tower?

Like a group of guys was assigned, and one of them walks over and picks up a hammer and is like, "Well, I guess let's get started"? I wish I could travel time and see the very first moment of some of these buildings.

I'd rather be the guy starting the tower than that guy finishing it..
