Two 5-Story Building Explosion & Collapse in Harlem

Hoping our New York OSers aren't affected or know anyone affected by the building collapse.

So far two confirmed dead and 18 injured.

That was a hell of an explosion.
There was a report of a heavy smell of gas in and around the building at 9:15 or so.....15 minutes later and the explosion occurred.

That is some major debris projection though!

Nasty explosion for sure. If gas was building up for 15 minutes (from a leak?) then that could be a ton of gas. Glad more weren't killed!

Will be interesting to see the cause of the leak or whatnot....

Nope.

I'm in South Jamaica Queens(St. Albans to be specific)
I'm about as far from this as you can get.
It would have to be a MASSIVE alarm assignment(we really only go to five...but think WTC)...for my house to get assigned there.(specifically to that box)
We do get relocated to houses outside of borough(to cover units that are at the jobs)...but that's about it.
