Hey guys. The OS community has always been so supportive of mine and other OS'ers Extra Life campaigns. Which I thank you guys again so much. Extra Life this year is on October 25th, which is just over 7 months away, but will be here so quick.

This week has started the big kick off for the event. Today is a big one, the charity is giving away a cool Deslin statute from inFAMOUS pictured below. To win, it's simple. Every donation I get in the exact amount of $22.22 is one entry to win the statue. If, and a big if, I win the statue thanks to your donations, I will then turn around and randomly give it away to someone who has donated to me to help me win it!

Basically, if I win, you have the chance to win. In the end, the biggest winner as the sick kids stuck in a hospital as this is what this charity supports with 100% of all donations, zero over head involved here. So if you can, please drop a donation of $22.22 (or any amount if you aren't interested in the statue today) to see what we can do to help kids. Remember, if I win, you possibly could win to. I will not keep the statue.

At last check, I may have the most entries into the contest. Not saying that guarantees me to win the statue to give away, but I have a great shot. Any other donations by Midnight EST helps the cause and gets you an entry to win the statue as well!!

I don't have anything to donate at this time, but just sending along good luck!

It's amazing how this event has grown and grown. There's so much more room for growth, and that means funds directly to the hospitals.

Some of these charities make me sick with how much they take off the top. If you're going to do that, don't advertise yourself as a charity. I personally feel that should be illegal, it probably is at some point. Knowing when I throw in whatever amount that it's going to exactly what it says encourages me that much more to donate or campaign for people to donate.

There is no downside to this charity and event. Literally everyone wins. That's how it should be.

Extra Life is the real deal. Everyone should get behind it.

I didn't win the statute this week. I tried every day though, as I had full intentions of selling it or giving it away to someone who donated in order to help the charity. But in reading almost everyone who won this week, they all have the same plans as well. It's built a great community for gamers, makes us not look so bad at all the good we can do.

They've opened a merch store. Only a few designs and items, but they're all pretty sweet.

As usual, proceeds go to local Children's Miracle Network hospitals, based on zip code.

Oh yeah, their Twitter retweeted our very own ExtremeGamer the other day. Scrolling my timeline, I knew I recognized that name! Pretty cool.

Little over 5 months out. It's my goal this year to start campaigning early in order to spread the word. One problem I've experienced is a lot of people don't understand it, but it's exactly like a run for charity... Just a lot less running and a lot more gaming!

I encourage all to donate or participate yourself! It's so easy, so fun, and so beneficial. I can't think of a downside. Oh wait, you're gonna be reaaaalllly sleepy the next day.

I set mine up today. Supporting Cooks Children Hospital out of Ft Worth, TX. Im pretty excited even though it is several months away. I dont give back or volunteer as much as I would like and this seemed like a pretty easy way to do that.

Just wanted to remind everyone about Extra Life. It's just over 2 months away. I'm now the Vice-President of the Cleveland Guild, it's a great honor to do the work I've been able to do so far with the charity.

I was able to organize a golf outing that raised $3,002 for Extra- Life and I have gained a partnership with a local company with help from Microsoft to host a giant tournament with proceeds benefiting Extra Life. Neither are credited to my name as donations since both went directly to the charity, but been rewarding none the less.

Still need you guys to help out if you can. Even if 10 of you donated $1, it's a giant help.

And if you want to sign up and join me on 10/25, please do as well!! The more that join and raise money, the more money these hospitals get to help children who need it. 100% of every penny you donate goes back to the kids.

Just signed up to participate again this year. After doing it last year and raising over $300 for the local children's hospital I couldn't just sit on the sidelines and not participate again.

I just want to echo what EG said about how great a cause this is. All the money goes to the hospital of the fundraiser's choice, and often times stays right in the communities it comes from to help local children and their fights against terrible illness.

I would encourage anyone else who wants to sign up and help raise money to do so. It's a long day of video games for a good cause.

45 days away from Extra Life!! Any amount helps, if you can only donate $1, it still helps! This charity is one of the biggest reasons I am staying active on social media anymore, because I believe so deeply in it, I try to help it out as much as possible. If you're in the Cleveland area, I'll be at a gaming convention on 9/27 at Lakeland Community College discussing Extra Life. So please, anything you can give, it helps out sick kids. 100% of all money raised is put back towards children in need. Thank you!

If you donate $25, please put a note in the donation with a game you want to play me in. I have all the sports teams, I'll let you set the parameters we play as well. Want to play me in NBA 2K, you get the East All-Stars and I get one of the Euro teams? Have at it. Twelve days away!

I have a $50 XBL/PSN points card to give away for every $10 donated, previous donators are already entered. So throw $10 down to hopefully win $50 but at the same time know you're helping sick kids stuck in a hospital. Extra Life Hockey 2014

(I hope this is the appropriate place to post this. Long-time lurker, first time caller...)



As both long-time hockey and video game fans, my friend Ramen and I have decided it was time to give back and use our combined passions of these two interests for something good, besides yelling at the TV. So we gathered up some prizes from our friends at EA Sports, set a time and date, and will be live-streaming a 24-hour hockey video game marathon in support of Extra Life!

We’ve organized our marathon to include nothing but hockey video games that we’ve played over the years. From NHL Faceoff on PlayStation, to ESPN NHL Hockey on Xbox, and even getting to NHL 15 on PS4; we’ll be playing through a bunch of hockey games – both good AND bad – for the entire 24-hour period. To make things fun, we’ve secured some prizes to give away based on the amount donated. We’ve got t-shirts, some hockey memorabilia, and two copies of next-gen NHL 15 (Xbox One and PS4) to give away!
