Anybody here heard of this before? Its insane I just saw it on nightline, grown men and women beating the the crap out each other in full medieval armor. Swords, club, Axes (blunted but still!) and teams with tactics. Its international with teams from all over, its kinda niche but 10000 people watched the international championship in Illinois.
Would anyone here do something like this? Concussions, broken bones, full on dents in your helmet from a club swinging 250lb beast? One guy broke his back in Army basic training and was taking full on shots to his back with an Axe! I find it hard to believe that anyone would risk jobs to do this.
Imagine trying to explain this to your wife or girlfriend? I quit playing hockey because the risk is just too much, blow out your knee and your job is done, seen it too many times. A part of me wants to do this just to see if I could hang, like it would fill some primal medieval total war type fantasy.
