Re: Off Topic 2015
Ticket to Ride is super easy to pick up and play. Essentially, you have a bunch of trains and you work to try to complete routes. (I've only played the US version, so an example would be New York to LA, though most are shorter than that) To do so, you have to claim certain tracks by using cards with different colors on them. (ex. five white cards, six red cards, 3 cards of any color, etc.) When you complete a route, you get the number of points on the card. If you have a route that you don't complete, you lose that number of points. Most points at the end wins.
That's the extreme basics, there's a little more to it, but it's not much and it is a very simple game to pick up and playMLB: Minnesota Twins
NFL: Philadelphia Eagles
NBA: Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves
European Football: Manchester United, Brighton & Hove Albion
NCAA: UNI Panthers, Iowa Hawkeyes

Fresh Tendrils, I would definitely try out Ticket to Ride or Settlers of Catan. They don't take nearly as long as Monopoly!Comment

That sounds similar to this game we play every now and then called King Oil. Instead of train tracks, you connect pipelines. You can even cop someone else's rig.
There's a limited number of holes that are randomly selected as being jackpot, good, okay or dud when you put your rig up.
Better explanation: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_OilNHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: Off Topic 2015
Change of topic, what's a good excuse to give a coworker who invited you over for Thanksgiving when you really don't want to spend time with coworkers, let alone their family, on Thanksgiving? And no, I can't use an "I'm sick" excuse. See earlier post about how I'm never sick. I don't go home for Thanksgiving since I would just be going again in December so they know I'm not seeing family.Comment

Yeah, that's not really that hard. Politely decline and thank them for the invite. You don't need an "excuse".Comment

What the hell are you doing? My friend's parents have 3 AC's and only in the hottest of Augusts do they use that much.

Going over 1k kilowatts is pretty easy.
I see where some confusion may lie. I should have said kilowatt hour which is I guess different than just kilowatt. I don't know physics that well yet.MLB: Texas Rangers

Axis and allies is my favorite game. BUt nobody wants to play it with me. It is super long though. It is featired on the big bang theory.
That clemson winning the NC = me being a mod deal is turning out quite nicely...
My senior project is a clemson football magazine. Im getting interviews with the team for it to.
Panthers are also 10-0, but i just really care about clemson.
I dont think football will ever go this well again in my life (unless clemson doesnt win this year but wins it all another year)Comment
