Got a new phone, but the number I got(had no other choice but to get new number) has gotten a random doctors appointment message(for what I'm assuming was for the previous owner of this number) and some spam message on an app from some random number in the Philippines......

I really hope this doesn't happen again, cause I don't want to have to get a new number and get everyone to have to change my number all over again, cause it's more work than I thought, having to tell so many people to change my number,so doing that AGAIN so soon will just be annoying.

Funny part is how this is a customized number I just chose cause it's similar to my other number,so to have it be a number which might have very recently belonged to someone else,is a weird coincidence.

Basements for the most part are rare in the south. They are usually cost prohibitive because in the north, they have to do go below the frostline for your footings. It doesn't take much more to get a full size basement. In the south, you'd still have to go 70-80% or more to get a full basement in most areas. The soil in much of the south is also not conducive to basements. Clay soil and walls do not mix. These people you know with basements probably paid a pretty penny to have it done to make sure they wouldn't have problems with the basement later. The other factor is coast line. A lot more of the southeast is near water than the midwest and north. More water you're around, the less you want something below ground.

Also, by second entry point, I'm guessing you mean a walkout? Those you can get away with more since only half or so of the basement is underground. I wish I had found an affordable lot for one when I built. A lot more convenient for moving stuff in than going down the stairs

I don't know many people who have basements in the South.

I don't have one, my parents don't have one and my grandparents who lived down here didn't have one. One of my friends used to live in a house that had one, but it was a weird house and he's the only one I can think of.

By comparison, all three houses we lived in up North when I was a kid had one. The house we lived in in California when I was a kid didn't have one.

In North Alabama (where Chase is from) basements are very common. I grew up about 45 minutes North of where Chase is from and both my dad's and aunts had basements.

Basically once you get North of Montgomery the ground is very rocky. Also living in a tornado alley most people have to get either a basement or storm shelter.. or at the very least a family member or neighbor with one or the other.

You will certainly never see a basement in South Alabama, Florida or Louisiana though.

While I love the spring and longer days and warmer days, I hate the moving the clock up an hour. So difficult to adjust to the time change.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Nothing like taking a slapshot to the face in your first ball hockey league game. My nose was already big as it is. Now I have a Jay Z sized nose.

OK so I was walking through the local Dollar Tree, go down the candy aisle just for the hell of it. And something catches my eye, they are now making Dr. Pepper twizzlers.

I find it easy. My mind is always just adjusted to whatever time I see on a clock. When time changes,I just set clock before I go to bed, and wake up at whatever time I usually do based on what I see on the clock. Even when going on vacation, it's diff timezone but I'm able to adjust to that fairly easy. The flight helps too cause I lose track of time,so when arriving,I don't think "the time right now is (whatever time it is back home)", I just look at whatever time it is in the city I'm in,and just accept that as the time.

They should have time change on Friday nights though. So people have Saturday AND Sunday to adjust.
