Why not? Was she your girlfriend or something?

I don't know what has gone on between two of you, but from your last few post it sounds like you were in the Friend's Zone, then got to step out of that for a night and now your back in. Obviously, that's frustrating, but I'm not sure it's completely worth writing someone off over.

My advice: Don't give her the satisfaction of blowing up on her or going all emo or anything like that. If you actually do like her then play the "cool guy" role. Act like what happened doesn't bother you a bit and just go on about living your life without her in it. Best case scenario she remembers that and has a change of heart later on. Worse case, she moves on, but you're a guy who didn't lose his **** over nonsense like some guys would. I'm sure she will meet her fair share of dicks down the road, so at least she can remember you as a good guy.

It's really complicated. The friends part wasn't an issue, it was the **** she did. We told each other we had feelings for each other like a year ago, and after that she basically led me on really hard. For example, I took her out to dinner for her birthday and were supposed to go back to my place and watch a movie, but she said she wasn't feeling well. I found out the next day through her friend that she bailed on me to go hook up with another dude. Just a bunch of stuff like that. Then this past October I removed myself from the situation and I hadn't talked to her at all until Sunday.

This current situation was a mix of me actually missing talking to her and wanting to prove to myself that I don't suck and can get out of the friend zone, and maybe hope that she changed and something good came out of it.

No I understand what it means, I just don't know where use of the term began. It's a recent thing, that I know.

Someone I graduated HS with lost their home yesterday due to a house fire.

It makes any complaints I may have about the Navy ****ing me seem very insignificant. It's amazing how selfish we can be without realizing it.

That doesn't make you selfish, using that mindset I could say that complaining about losing your house is selfish because he didn't burn inside it unlike the poor chap who didn't make it out in time in his house fire a day ago. I just stubbed my toe and it hurts, me complaining about it doesn't lessen what happened to your friends house. I suppose if I compared my stubbed toe to your friend losing his house would be in bad taste but the two are unrelated.

Keep complaining about the BS in the Navy, it's how I got through a deployment.
