I thought I liked snow until I had to walk in it every ****ing day last Winter.

I heard from a few people that it snowed 80+ inches in Chicago last year. I'm not sure how much truth there is to that, but it seemed pretty accurate.

It doesn't really snow in this part of Japan, but up North it definitely does. I've only seen a few flurries here.

95 inches in Syracuse so far, about 70" that is currently on the ground. I think what's making this winter more brutal than other winters is the bone chilling cold. Syracuse still has another 25" or so until we hit our average, will probably surpass it as we normally get at least one epic storm in March.

Speaking of shows, is Supernatural any good? A few friends of mine seem to like it and it's been on for quite awhile now, so I'm wondering if I'm missing out on anything.

The year I left we got 125 inches of snow. I used to live in Valdez and they get 400-600 inches of snow.

My Brother-in-law were stationed there when he first joined the AF. Him and my sister both loved it there. They ended up transferring to North Carolina to be closer to family, but they want to move back to Anchorage eventually.

I regret not visiting them while they lived there. I believe they were there for four years. My parents went every year and they love it too.

I imagine snow to be nice if it's a few times a year max. Places like KC, Dallas, North/South Carolina, etc.

I can't imagine living in a place where it snows so much that you have to wake up every day to shovel it all off and whatnot.

I love cold and rain, but that much snow is just way too much work. Oregon and Washington really do seem the best in that regard.
