Well I'm going to have nightmares.

My friend fell asleep and woke up feeling something in his throat and proceeded to cough and puke it out. It was a quarter sized spider.

It messed with him so much that he bought a mask and ear plugs and didn't sleep for like 3 days. I can't even imagine.

Just walked by our employee lounge and there's a lady in there sleeping on the couch complete with blanket and pillow. Does anyone else that works in an office have people like this?

About six or so years ago when I first started working at my current job I had a pretty awkward situation. My bosses boss (the CFO of the company) was a woman between 55-60 years old. When I had payments come in I would fill out a deposit slip and put them in a bank bag located in her office.

One day around lunch time I walked in to put my deposits in the bag and I didn't really think much of it at the time, but the door was half closed and the light was off... this wasn't unusual because she wasn't there half the time. About the time I opened the bank bag I heard a noise like someone clearing their throat and it startled me. I whipped my head around and there the CFO lady was laying on her love seat asleep in the fetal position.

That's about the time that the awkward got turnt up a notch.... Because as soon as I turned around and I realized what I had walked into, her eyes popped open and met my eyes. I kind of froze for a second and was like

I wasn't sure if I should apologize or something or if she thought that I was just standing there staring at her like a big perv or what. I ended up just putting my head down and scurry away like a frightened rat. Luckily she never brought anything about it.... And she was fired a few years later for embezzling a few million from the company so I don't have to worry about it happening again.

Part of me is thinking of trying to get into some kind of sports related job. Maybe something random like freelance sports writer or one of those sports statistician guys. Though I got no idea how to even break into any of these jobs, even just small internship jobs which might lead to something.

Don't wanna go and waste my time doing something if it won't lead to anything at all, cause jobs relating to sports,really doesn't seem like there's so many big opportunities out there,especially when it comes to the media and stuff.

I did some volunteer work for my school's hockey team when I was in college. I helped enter stats at all the home games and designed reports for the coaches to use. I didn't get paid, but it was a cool learning experience. I was actually contacted by the owner of the Lincoln Stars (a USHL team) about a job afterwarde, but I got a better offer for my current job.

I don't know your situation or your technical skill set, but your best bet for getting your foot in the door I think is to look for a volunteer type situation, if you can afford that.

Not exactly in position to volunteer for a college or anything like that, but they do got the OHL(it's basically to NHL what NCAA Basketball is to NBA,except it's not college teams) over here, so I'll at least look into that. Don't really know of any baseball or even basketball opportunities realistically available though.

Which is why freelance type stuff would be appealing too, not having to be at an exact location to do something. Which would be easier too, maybe even getting something in USA.
