Really none? I thought for sure all the hand eye coordination among us gamers would have led to some pursuit of music as well.Jacksonville Jaguars

Re: Any musicians out there?
I can pound out notes on a piano, but I've always been involved in choir. I was part of a group in high school that was invited to Carnegie Hall by the Carnegie Hall Foundation, and that performance helped our fine arts department win a grant and award from the Grammy Foundation. Since then, I have continued in my local choir, and we will be in Germany, Austria, and Hungary in June of this year.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

Re: Any musicians out there?
I'm a drummer. I've been playing for 41 years. I play a little guitar and bass , but the drums are my instrument of choice. I grew up a huge Rush fan so my style is a lot like Neil Peart's. I was also a big John Bonham fan growing up so if you put him and Peart together you get my style of playing. I made a good living playing the New England Club circuit from 1977 to 1991. We played 4 nights a week, 48 weeks a year. I stopped paying out in 91 due to some burn out and just being sick to death of playing popular mainstream cover tunes.
Since 1991 I've never stopped paying. I have my drum room in my basement. I get together with musician friends from time to time to jam but I really enjoy just sitting behind my kit by myself and just playing drums, no music, just me and the kit. It's really something I could not live without.
I've always played a large kit , again my style of playing just calls for it, I like the multi tom fills, and the many different sounds a large kit offers.
My current kit is a mid level kit by PDP/DW. Asian maple shells , Zildjian cymbals mostly with a few others in the mix as well. I'm running two 22" kick drums two snares 8,8,10,12,14,14,16 toms.

Re: Any musicians out there?
I've played Trumpet for 12 years. I was in a Jazz band when I went to High School, I still meet up with a few of the guys and we play every so often. Same thing goes for a quartet I was in. College has made things a little more difficult as we're all at different locations around the States.
I Recently picked up guitar as well. More of a hobby than anything but it could become more.

Re: Any musicians out there?
Same here. I've been involved in all sorts of choirs over the years. Did choir in high school (and also got to sing in Carnegie... what an experience!), was part of a 100-plus member all-men's choir in college and I'm now part of a 16-man chamber choir. Unfortunately, though, I have zero instrumental talent. Really wish I had found an instrument to stick with, but I just never did.I can pound out notes on a piano, but I've always been involved in choir. My eyes naturally went to the kit before I read your post, and my first though was "Neil Peart". AWESOME set.I'm a drummer. I've been playing for 41 years. Re: Any musicians out there?
Sweet solo on Separate Ways!
EDIT: I just realized you're the drummer, not the guitar player, lol. When I saw acoustic I thought you meant guitar. Then I read it closer.Comment
