As for the question. Yeah I'm doing it absolutely. I used to be able to make them pretty regularly back in college.

Yes, in a heartbeat. I used to be able to hit them fairly regularly with both feet on the ground. As long as I got to practice for a day or two beforehand I would do it with no hesitation.

Wait, my best half-court shot I can take is on the run (kind of the "lift off the fingertips" shot you'll see players do on buzzer-beaters). In these events, is it allowed to pass the line after the shot?

Used to shoot half court shots all the time @ the Y and became fairly decent at them. I'd bet on myself to make 1 out of 10.

Same for for me. I'd almost be willing to double down and do 5 for 40, but more than likely I'd play it safe and take the 20 for 10.

I seriously get pissed off when I see grown men bounce the ball at the free throw line when picked for half court shots.

Absolutely not

Money is great but it doesn't dictate my happiness. Home paid off, quality of life is great, my kids, wife, immediate family in good health.

No reason for me to take such a risk and lose 2 years of my life in prison.

I definitely can understand those of you willing to take that risk however.
